The campaign to win driver’s licenses for all in PA

The campaign to win driver’s licenses for all in PA is launching 40 days of prayer and action during Lent.  NSM works with Driving PA Forward, the statewide coalition.  Here are three ways to support the campaign:

1. CALL your House Representative now!
We are targeting key legislators in the transportation committee. The automated system will connect you to your representative and four key targets from the transportation committee.

Click here, and follow the instructions to make your voice heard. The  automated system will connect to your legislator based on your zip code. At then end the system will connect you to a report back sheet.

Please do not share this tool in social media, as we want to prevent people who oppose taking it over.

2.  WRITE a letter to your legislator
1. Write your own letter and organize your family, congregation and friends to write as well. Click here to find instructions and a template

2. Take a picture of the letter writing time + email it to us

3. Turn your letters to NSM’s Promotora Maria Chavez to be organized and delivered to legislators in Harrisburg.

If you have questions please reach out to Maria Chavez at mariac@sanctuaryphiladelphia.org

Please note: For the security of the data, and because we know that some members of our community are concerned about sharing their addresses when they write letters, we will be collecting the letters safely and delivering them in person to the legislators’ offices in early April.

3. For Clergy and Women Religious- ADD YOUR VOICE
Are you a faith leader? Do you like to include your voice? or do you simply want to be in community with us? Join one of the six interfaith spaces during our 40 days Action for the right to mobility for the immigrant community. Click here to sign up and for more information.

Email Blanca Pacheco if you have questions blanca@sanctuaryphiladelphia.org

4. Want to learn more?  Come to an orientation session with New Sanctuary Movement to learn more about the campaign.  Sunday, March 14th at 3pm.  Click here to register.
